Rachel's Well is dedicated to bringing hope to victims of childhood sexual abuse. We believe that healing is a journey that goes beyond recovery to total restoration of who God created each and every one of us to be.

About Rachel
I am an artist who also works with victims of childhood sexual abuse. I often use my art to inspire them to re-discover hope, purpose, and identity beyond abuse.
I have had many life experiences and through those experiences I developed a love of various forms of art, including: painting, portrait drawings, textile, pottery, and the written word.
My hope is that as you search through my various art forms, you will find something that inspires you and those you care about.

Child sex abuse occurs when a child is exploited sexually by another person. It may take the form of: exposure of sexual parts of the body, obscene phone calls, voyeurism, use of pornography, fondling, and oral, vaginal, or anal intercourse.
Children are most commonly sexually abused by someone they know and trust. There may be a single occurrence, but most likely the abuse will continue over a period of time, often for years. The abuse generally begins with acts such as fondling. The child is coerced and manipulated into remaining silent. Victims are terrified of revealing the abuse, due to confusion, guilt and fear of being blamed, punished or not believed.
The impact of sex abuse is long term and deep. Research indicates that women who have experienced sex abuse have significantly poorer overall health, greater physical and emotional disability, more distressing physical symptoms, and increased health risk behaviors. 1999 AM J. Med 107:4:332-9
It is possible for victims to be restored to who they were created to be. I believe that art enhances that restoration. For that reason I make my art and other creations available at affordable prices.
